Ring latch door handles are supplied as a pair with a ring handle on either side of the door which are connected via spindle. When the ring is twisted the mortice latch is withdrawn allowing the door to be opened.
Suffolk latches have a bar fitted to one side of the door and a thumb latch to the other, when the thumb latch is pressed a pivoting arm raises the bar to allow the door to be opened.
