• Door hold-open devices are products that allow users to legally hold open fire doors.
• Electro-magnets can be wall- or floor-mounted and have a corresponding plate that attaches to the back of the fire door. The magnets are then wired into the main power and the fire alarm system. In normal use, the door can be pushed open and held in place, when the fire or smoke alarm is activated power is automatically cut to the electro-magnets and the doors will close under the pressure of the door closer or floor spring.
