  • The Exidor 285 is an elegant and highly functional panic bolt set for use on a pair of double rebated fire escape and emergency exit doors.

  • Double rebated door kit includes
  • - 1x Horizontal panic bar with top and bottom vertical shoot bolts.
  • - 1x Horizontal panic bar latch set.
  • - 1x Double door receiver plate for panic latch set.

  • From the Exidor 200 range.

  • Silver (SE) finish.

  • Tested to BS EN 1125 this emergency exit hardware is suitable for use on fire exit and fire escape doors in public buildings and public areas including - schools, hospitals, churches, shopping centers or any area which may hold 60 people or more.

  • Certified for use on 60 minute FD60 timber fire doors and 240 minute FD240 metal fire doors. Certificates available upon request.

  • Incorporated as standard is an automatic top trip which will hold the bolts "in" once the door has been opened and stops the bottom shoot from rubbing along the floor. Once the door is closed the top trip releases the bolts automatically back into their receiver plates to secure the door closed.

  • The main body is fitted with an anti-thrust device, which prevents leverage of both the top and bottom shoot bolts from their sockets.

  • Non-handed design suitable for use on ISO 5 and ISO 6 handed doors (left and right handed.)

  • Surface mounted with closed arm design.

    • Operation

  • When pressure is applied at any point along the horizontal bar of the panic latch (located on the first opening door leaf) this door only will open.
  • When pressure is applied at any point along the horizontal bar of the panic bolt (located on the slave door leaf) then this will force both doors to open at once.
  • When the slave door is closed again the top trip (supplied) automatically releases the vertical bolts back into their receiver plates to secure the door closed. When the 1st opening door is closed the panic latch engages into a receiver plate mounted onto the slave door.

    • Usage

  • This Exidor 285 is suitable for use on a pair of double rebated, wooden fire exit doors.
  • Suitable for doors up to 2440mm high.
  • Suitable for doors up to 1220mm wide.
  • BS EN 1125 and the code of practice of fire escape doors state that horizontal panic bars must cover at least 60% of the door width.
  • For taller or wider doors - longer horizontal bars and longer top shoot tubes are available to special order.
