Each set includes all the main components needed to install a long lasting, smooth running wall mounted fire rated sliding door track.

Fire Rating
This sliding fire door kit is a system developed as part of a half hour (FD30) sliding fire door assembly, to BS 476: Part 22: 1987 and should be installed on the non-fire risk side of an aperture.
The assembly must be fitted with a solid core FD30 (or FD60) timber based fire door which has been tested or assessed to BS 476 or CERTIFIRE approved, at the dimensions required.
Assessment report WFRC No.C116602 confirms that a sliding fire door assembly, fitted in accordance with these instructions, will offer 30 minutes of fire protection in accordance with BS 476: Part 22: 1987, (ref: report Warres No. 40991).
This kit is not suitable for use on smoke control doors designated FD30S
Intumescent Fire Seals
It is required that intumescent fire seals be incorporated into the door opening framework, to contain the fire within the fire area (see image below).
Do not use smoke seals (with brushes or rubbers) as this will hinder the sliding action.
Seals are NOT included with this kit and will need to be purchased separately,
Pelmet / Fascia Requirements
A custom made "L" section pelmet must be constructed from fire resistant board to cover the top and face of the sliding door track (see image below).
